Poonachi, Or The Story of a Black Goat …
Poonachi is not just the story of a goat, it is an

Perumal Murugan is
the author of six novels, four collections of short stories and four anthologies of
poetry in Tamil. This is his first work after his return to writing. His book One Part Woman was
at the centre of a raging controversy, and his
reaction to this, was to say that Perumal the writer is dead. It was an
act that shocked readers and evoked strong empathy for the plight of the
writer.
