Professor Venkatesh B. Athreya is
a renowned Economist, feted in several nations across the globe. He
earned his Ph.D, from the University of Wisconsin and has won a
number of awards and honours. The most recent one in May 2014,
being the Distinguished Achievement Award for Political Economy
in the 21st Century by the World Association of Political Economy.
Marking the 200th birth anniversary of
Karl Marx, Prof. Athreya will simplify for us The Father of Marxism,
referring to his noted works Capital and the Communist Manifesto.
