Jainism has a rich tradition, culture and
history of renunciation. Understanding the philosophy and deep
spirituality that is associated with renunciation will enable one to
realize bliss in the here and now even though one has not yet renounced
material aspects.
Dr. Priyadarshana Jain,
a practicing Jain has a Master’s, M.Phil and Ph.D in Jainism, and is Professor and
Head of the Department of Jainism, Madras University.She has authored, translated and edited
books related to Jainism and presented papers at National and
International conferences and seminars.
